Track Rebuild and Racing 8/28 and 8/29

ARCOR Members:

We've got a team of officers and volunteers who are committed to making Tumbleweed a success, but the logistics with the scheduled rebuild over Labor Day weekend were going to cripple our ability to get the track groomed for Tumbleweed.

Starting this Saturday morning 8/28 at 10:00am, we will begin resurfacing and repiping the 1/8th scale track, and we will make a few simple feature changes to the 10th scale track (that stupid 10-pack is sooooo gone). The 1/8th track work will continue through Sunday 8/29.

Our goal is to have the smaller track done Saturday in time to do some racing on Saturday evening, sticking with our posted schedule. With an early start and good turnout, racing will commence once the work is completed. Seeing as how it won't be a full rebuild, work should go rather quickly with your help. If time and manpower don't allow us to finish the 1/10th scale track touch-ups by early evening, we will have a club race the following Saturday 9/4 at no charge to our volunteers.

Quick recap:

• The Labor Day weekend rebuild will continue as scheduled (with less to do), work to begin moved to this Saturday and Sunday, 8/28-8/29, 10:00am.
• Come out with your cars on Saturday. Once we get the 1/10th stuff done, we're gonna play.
• If we don't get a chance to race our scheduled race on 8/29, then we'll run a race in the evening the next Saturday 9/4, and the 8/28 - 8/29 volunteers will run for free.

Sorry about the last-minute tweaking to our schedule, but we had too many members who were unable to commit time over Labor Day weekend. Rebuilding this weekend will make sure that we get 'er done, and we should be able to mix work and play on Saturday.

Thanks for your flexibility. Let's have a fun weekend. We'll see you Saturday and Sunday!
